You will need 1 or 2 handles to easily open and close your Murphy bed.

There are many styles of handles available from your local hardware store to match your room decor and furniture.

The distance between the 2 handle(s) can be any suitable distance to allow you to easily open your Murphy bed from a closed position.

You may choose to install the handle(s) vertically or horizontally.

This process must be done before you attached the mattress support(s) panel(s) on your inner bed frame.

Note that the Twin bed uses 1 mattress support panel and the full and queen Murphy bed will require 2 mattress support panels.
