The hardware is very good and simple to understand, there are a few issues with the manual that need improving. One simple ommission is that Manual 1, which describes all that you need to purchase, needs to include the handle(s) you want and something about the fasteners for the wall.

I absolutely love it! The hardware made the job easier. Took a while to put it together but it was all worth it! Thank you. I have a video but it wouldn’t download. Sorry.

Wish my communication had been better.
Very limited as young lady had limited skills. My question was never resolved but we can blame this on me….I am male, old,
white, ha. Don’t respond! We will eventually all die out and this will fix itself

Great kit with very good assembly instructions. I had fun constructing the bed from start to finish. I recommend this kit for anyone that wants to build a Murphy bed, also the videos on the website are very good too.

DIY Easy Murphy Bed is a fun project. The directions are clear and concise. But it’s not easy in the sense that it can be built in a weekend with a hammer and saw. My build required 3/4 oak veneer plywood that I cut myself using a track saw. I finished it using 4 coats of Minwax Polyshade Classic oak. I didn’t trust the guy at Lowes with the panel saw for the precision necessary. Cuts must be clean and within a 1/16”. Medium woodworking skills are required and the proper tools: a track saw, a table saw. And a power sliding miter saw. Or you can go with the person at Lowes but micromanage that 1/6” tolerance. At $100 a sheet (x4) it’s worth it to be annoying.
I would give this product a full throated 5 stars but for one oversight. The top side of the horizontal full bed is just over 5’ meaning it’s visible to most people. It looks unfinished and needs a top cap. I had to fabricate one out of scrap and it came out fine but the fit and finish took some pondering and time.
Overall I think this is a high quality product with excellent and responsive online support. Every question was answered within minutes and the final project came out like a Scan Home piece. I live in Alaska so buying this with shipping would have been around $5000. I built it for around $1000. I don’t typically leave reviews but DIY Easy Murphy Beds is a quality operation that deserves a lengthy review.

I haven’t made the bed yet but I am super impressed with the documentation – the cut lists, the assembly and the installation. Looking forward to starting it.

It was pretty straight forward to build. Very clear instructions were included as well as a cut list. It took a couple of days to build including pre-staining all of the cut lumber. The hardware was solid. I’m very satisfied with the purchase.

The kit was great. The instructions were great and easy to follow. The bed turned out fantastic. My only recommendation or change is to use 3/8 plywood for the mattress deck, 1/4 inch is too thin in my opinion.

The hardware was excellent. This was my second order and the mechanism worked perfectly. The directions are still a little confusing and I almost feel you should eliminate the MDF version. It would be interesting to know how many people used MDF.

Did a lot of research before deciding on Easy DIY. This is the biggest project I’ve ever done. Cutting lists was spot on and easy to follow. Some minor issues with assembly but was able to work through it and am very pleased with how it turned out. Going to trim it out and pretty it up a bit, but overall the quality of the hardware is very good. Would recommend this to anyone willing to try a rather large project.
